The Teacher Movie

Posted by Cheryl Lykowski on February 9, 2007

Have you ever had one of those days that you didn’t think you’d be able to utter another word to your students? Have you ever felt as though every word that has come out of your mouth actually was repeated over and over? Ever you left at the end of a school day and found you couldn’t drive home fast enough, get into some comfy clothes, get a hot cup of tea and curl up under the covers in hopes of making it all go away? We’ve all had those days! Sometimes they seem to drag on for a few days in a row!

Have you ever had a student that made you think to yourself, “Yes. This is why I’m teaching!”  A student that makes you believe that what you’ve chosen to do with your life was the correct path. A student that you not only inspire but they’ve inspired you. A student that you’ve not only taught but has taught you. I’m betting that most of us have had at least one.

Vicki Davis from http://coolcatteacher.blogspot.com/index.html  has led me to a phenomenal video that all educators must see. It puts things into perspective, especially when we’ve had one of those weeks.

Check out the movie at: http://www.teachermovie.com/ Think about all of the children that have reached out and touched your life some how.
