Last night a few of us gathered at SLolar Central for what was supposed to be a welcoming reception for the new July residents. Not many residents showed up but several others stopped be and we had a rockin’ good time. We danced to many great songs. I never knew
KJ could move like that! Laelia Laval did a great job preparing the music and dance floor. I have a feeling that this will be a terrific month of connecting in Second Life. Others stopped by including none other than Fleet Goldberg! Check out my new pictures on Flickr!

I know I have been gone for awhile, but for those who know me, I have been consumed with finishing my thesis proposal. It is completed and I am scheduled to defend next Thursday. Yeh! Now for a little down time. The Four-Eyed Technologist or better known as Existential Paine in Second Life has led me to a quest that looks as though I may be ‘lost’ for awhile. Check out his post on Numbakulla. If you get lost you can give me a shout-out but I may not be much help. (I’m lost.) Also you can check out my new pictures of Second Life at Flickr.

Well I’ve found a great diversion to writing my thesis, (I am not actually sure if this is a good thing or not) and I am having the time of my life. I have been exploring Second Life. I have been meeting up with people such as Technospud, (Jen Wagner) and Kevin Jarrett. They actually gave me a grand tour tonight and I think I’ve been convinced to become a renter in one of the buildings in EduIsland II. Tonight I went shopping for a computer desk and visited other people’s SL homes. I also did some touring on my own and you can see my pictures on Flickr. I can see huge possibilities for collaboration and professional development in SL and I am excited to be a part of it. If you see me around, stop and say Hi! My SL name is Ceili Bailey ~ a very Irish name to go with my Irish roots. (And one of my dogs is named Bailey).
